Registry for Baby #2
What do I need this time?
I kept almost everything I would need from baby #1 and just needed a few things to get things going for baby #2! Here is what I could think of that I didn’t have on hand
Car
evenflo 360 car seat
I didn’t have this right off the bat with my first but she has it now and i’m obsessed and spoiled with the rotation function! I will most likely still use my uppababy mesa from baby #1 for the first few weeks until baby chunks up but will convert to this once I am comfortable for baby to fit safely inside.
Car seat Camera
With now two babies in the backseat, I really needed something more functional than the mirror that I have with my first. The mirror also makes it impossible to see at night which makes me anxious. The reason I chose this specific one was for the wide angle and the window mount. I didn’t like the clunky monitor the other brands offered.
nursery
ikea hauga dresser
I currently have this for my first and I really love it. I chose this over the popular hemnes because of the little side walls on top. It has prevented so many things from falling off the edge, I don’t want another dresser. This also fits the peanut changer wonderfully!
drawer organizers
Absolutely necessary! With so many newborn items being so tiny, these are essential to keeping organized and sane.
Diaper caddy
I was gifted this diaper caddy the first go around and I found it really sturdy and nice! The larger pocket fits all the diapers while the smaller pockets can fit several wipes in one and cream, lotion, and toys in the other.
keekaroo peanut changer
I absolutely love this thing. Super easy clean ups, comfortable for baby, and no other accessories needed like covers. When you’re changing the baby in the middle of the night, you don’t want to worry about anything else if it becomes a messy one.
Ubbi diaper pail
You’ll be surprised how well this traps all the smells. When it’s closed, I don’t smell a thing! It is very easy to clean as well and once in a while I will sit it out in the sun to get rid of any lingering smells. I am overall very happy with this!
nanit camera
If you read my previous blog, you’ll know why i’ve opted for the nanit after having the infant optics! Because I had also previously purchased the floor stand, I needed the bare minimum for this new nursery. I have no complaints for nanit and am excited to use them again.
bath
mustela shampoo
This is really all I need the first few months for the new baby. This shampoo really helps with the cradle cap and once this is done, I will switch to the shampoo and wash my daughter currently uses as well.
dermafrida
I lost this after my daughter started using it as a toy but I found this super helpful for my daughter’s cradle cap, i’m definitely buying it again this time around!
fisher price infant bathtub
I previously used the skiphop bath and wanted to try something new for this baby! A friend recommended this to me and i’m hoping it suits my needs better this time around.
PUMPING/FEEDING
lactation cookie bites
Breastfeeding and pumping is so taxing, worrying about supply was the last thing I wanted to think about. These cookies on top of the traditional korean seaweed soup amped up my supply and my production increased without a hitch!
lansinoh milk storage bags
When I tell you, you will go through BOXES of these… These never leaked and labeling was easy! These can last months in the freezer with no damage and no issues.
medela milk storage bottles
I donated my previous bottles to free up storage and needed a new set for this new round. Honestly, any standard milk storage method will do! I just found these to be easy since it matches with my pump system. Remember to follow the rules for milk storage!
dr. brown’s baby bottle
These were the only bottles that my daughter took and although there are a lot of parts, she didn’t have much gas or colic so i’m hoping it works this time as well! This bottle is what i’m familiar with so hoping for the best.
breast pump quick wipes
These are a complete lifesaver. Cleaning pump parts in the middle of the night is not the business. Especially when you have to pump a million times a day! These wipes are amazing to have on hand while you’re out and about as well.
wabi sterilizer
I never had a sterilizer the first time around and wanted to try it for this time! I’ve heard so many good reviews and hoping to put it to good use. I figured with a toddler around, it would be a good idea to keep things extra clean
on the go
uppababy rumble seat
The main reason why I got the uppababy stroller is for its ability to turn into a double stroller! This extra seat will come into handy once baby grows out of the bassinet and car seat. The stroller series is quite heavy but definitely worth it in quality and comfort.
medela manual breast pump
To be honest, tiktok got me on this one. I like the idea of having a manual pump on hand just in case for emergencies and I don’t want to bust out the entire breast pump. It is also more compact and easy to travel with! I’m excited to try it out.
uppababy upper adapters
To be able to configure the stroller to a double, you’ll need both the upper and lower adapters! Not sure if the rumble seat comes with adapters since I have yet to purchase it, but better to get it and return it after! Will update this once I receive the seat and figure it out.
mushie pacifier carrier
When I was pregnant with my daughter, the pandemic was in full swing so we didn’t go out at all. This time around, we plan on keeping our regular schedule with our toddler so going out is unavoidable! Having a carrier for easy access to the pacifier would be great.
uppababy lower adapters
To be able to configure the stroller to a double, you’ll need both the upper and lower adapters! Not sure if the rumble seat comes with adapters since I have yet to purchase it, but better to get it and return it after! Will update this once I receive the seat and figure it out.
travel white noise machine
By now, we all know how vital having a white noise machine is for baby to sleep! Because of the pandemic, my daughter slept at home 95% of the time and a travel machine wasn’t needed. This time we will for sure need one!
